The N54's PCV system pushes oil vapor into the intake tract, where it coats the intercooler and charge piping, gunks up the intake valves and VANOS system, and lowers effective octane, worse the harder the engine is driven. Burger Motorsports' dual catch can kit is a two-can system: the boost-side can separates oil while the engine is under load, and the vacuum-side can separates oil at idle and light throttle, so neither half of engine operation is left uncovered.BMS also sells the boost and vacuum cans separately; this listing is the matched pair. Both cans are CNC machined from solid billet aluminum with zero welding, anodized black, and use a non-clogging double-baffle design with a free-flow, no-restriction path and no taper-down at the inlet or outlet. Why Choose This Kit
Retains factory fully closed-loop PCV operation; nothing vents to atmosphere
The PCV adapter design does not require permanently capping or plugging the PCV holes
Includes a high-performance check valve at the vacuum source to eliminate boost leaks, plus quick-connect fittings and 3/8 inch hose
Includes a BOV adapter that adds an extra 1/8 inch NPT vacuum port; a BOV is not required to run the kit
Eliminates the need for a separate RB PCV or BMS PCV
Hoses exceed OEM PCV sizing, so flow rate is maintained through the whole can with no crankcase pressure build-up
Mounting and Ownership NotesThe vacuum-side can mounts on the strut brace next to the boost-side can; the boost-side can mounts out of sight under the cowl. Install takes around 20 minutes with all required hardware included, and the kit is 100% reversible. Empty each can by unscrewing the base or through the 1/8 inch NPT drain plug every 3 to 6 months, and dispose of the captured oil with your used motor oil at oil changes. See Burger Motorsports' official install guides for the boost-side can and the vacuum-side can.Product Specifications

Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat problem does this kit solve? The N54's PCV system pushes oil vapor into the intake tract, coating the intercooler and charge piping and gunking up intake valves and the VANOS system. This kit intercepts that oil before it gets that far.Why two cans instead of one?One can only covers half of engine operation. The boost-side can handles heavy throttle and the vacuum-side can handles idle and light throttle, so both conditions are covered.Do I need a BOV to run this kit?No. The included BOV adapter adds an extra vacuum port if you have one, but a BOV is not required.Does this vent crankcase gases to atmosphere? No. The kit retains the factory fully closed-loop PCV system; nothing vents to atmosphere. How often do I need to empty the cans?Burger Motorsports recommends emptying each can every 3 to 6 months, timed with your oil changes.
