ST Suspensions XTA Plus 3 Coilover Kit - BMW 2, 3 & 4 Series RWD Without Adaptive Dampers (F2x/F3x)

This ST Suspensions XTA Plus 3 coilover kit is built for rear-drive BMW 2, 3 and 4 Series cars without the factory adaptive damper system. It carries everything the XTA line offers — race springs, aluminum uniball top mounts and adjustable rebound damping — and adds independently adjustable high-speed and low-speed compression damping on top.

Every ST coilover is built by KW automotive at its Fichtenberg, Germany facility. Ride height is set with a continuously threaded strut body that stays adjustable with the car assembled, using a composite spring perch that resists seizing the way a steel-on-steel design eventually will.

Important Compatibility Information

This kit is not applicable to cars equipped with the factory EDC electronic damper control system. If your car has EDC, contact your BMP Tuning rep to find the right part. Keeping the original wheel and tire package may also require wheel spacers with this kit.

Why the Plus 3

The XTA Plus 3 is the kit for a car whose setup keeps changing. If you add a roll cage, switch to spherical bushings, or change wheel loads down the road, the independently adjustable compression damping lets you re-tune the car for the new setup instead of buying a different coilover. Compression damping is adjustable in 24 defined clicks each for high speed and low speed, ST-published. Low-speed compression governs steering precision and chassis support under slow inputs like turn-in and acceleration; high-speed compression governs how the car absorbs fast inputs like expansion joints and potholes. ST's own tuning guidance: tightening the front axle sharpens handling precision, while a sportier rear setup improves track stability during load changes and helps reduce oversteer.

Turning the separate rebound adjuster toward more force sharpens steering response and cuts pitch and roll, most noticeable at the front axle; turning it toward less force adds comfort on rough roads. Every kit ships preset to ST's factory recommended damper setting and dyno-tested before it leaves the KW facility, with the setup manual in the box to get back to that baseline any time.

How is this different from a KW coilover?
ST is a KW automotive brand, but the two lines do not overlap. KW housings are stainless steel or aluminum; ST uses galvanized steel. Both are manufactured at the same KW facility.
