ARM Motorsports N54 Relocated Inlets - BMW 135i & 335i (E82/E90/E92/E93)

ARM Motorsports' Relocated Inlets move the N54's intake filters from the driver side of the engine to the passenger side, shortening the distance boosted air has to travel to the turbochargers. ARM states this increases power and torque up to 60whp and 60wtq, with improved turbo spool and faster peak boost, on both stock and upgraded twin turbochargers.

The stock N54 inlets are narrow and flat, and each one wraps most of the way around the engine before reaching the turbos, restricting airflow and slowing spool. Relocating the filters removes that restriction.

Important Compatibility Information

ARM states this system fits left-hand-drive vehicles only. This part is built for N54-powered BMW 135i and 335i models; if you're stepping up from an airbox-fed intake, the N54 Dual Cone Intake is the setup these inlets replace.

Choosing Your Inlet Size

This system is sized to your turbochargers. Stock N54 turbos use the 1.75" inlets; upgraded turbochargers use the 2.0" inlets. Each size can also be ordered with the ARM N54 Inlet Adapter, which lets 2.0" inlets run on stock turbos — a way to buy the inlets now and add upgraded turbos later without replacing them.

Construction

The relocated inlet tubes are built from steel-reinforced high-temperature silicone. A manifold heat shield and an air filter heat shield keep engine and turbo heat away from the relocated filters, and ARM includes a filter bracket that holds the filters steady under acceleration, braking, and cornering.

Which inlet size do I need?
1.75" if you're running stock N54 turbochargers, 2.0" if you have upgraded turbos.

Should I add the inlet adapter?
Add it to the 2.0" inlets if you're currently on stock turbos but plan to upgrade later — it lets the 2.0" inlets run on stock turbos now, and you keep the same inlets when you upgrade. Contact your BMP Tuning rep if you're not sure which setup fits your plans.

Does this fit right-hand-drive cars?
